Earlier this afternoon, Glasgow Central Mosque announced that a couple from Newlands, Glasgow were among a number of Pilgrims who died in a tragic mini-bus accident in Saudi Arabia.

Glasgow Central Mosque in association with other Mosques within Glasgow proudly present this year's Khatam E Nubuwwat conference. The evening will feature a selection of short speeches from various local scholars on the critical importance of Muhammad ﷺ as the seal of prophethood and the finality of Allah's messengers.

An open invitation is extended to all and we encourage you to attend and enjoy this unique event.

Glasgow Central Mosque presents a Winter Conference on the 25th December for all the family. The day long program commences at 12pm with a 'Fun and Food' festival which will be fully segregated.

In the large community hall there will be activities for ladies and children which include henna and art stalls, soft play area with bouncy castles, assault courses and slides, children's Islamic activities, bake sale, food and an outdoor barbecue (weather permitting).

Glasgow Central Mosque condemns in the strongest possible terms the widespread massacre of innocents in Aleppo. We are deeply saddened at the inaction of Muslim countries around Syria. We call on the international community to take immediate steps to save the remaining residents from brutal and indiscriminate torture and murder.

May Allah (swt) ease their suffering and grant those that have passed away the highest rank in Jannah.

GCM and it's projects only function because of all the volunteers who lend their time, effort and expertise to the Masjid in its day to day operations, community projects and in maintaining the Masjid building; may Allah swt accept everyone's efforts.

Glasgow Central Mosque will be introducing an Elderly Day Care Centre from the 7th of November 2016.

In order for this project to be successful and deliver a significant benefit to the community a number of vacancies need to be filled IMMEDIATELY:

  • Project Manager
  • Project Coordinator
  • Support Worker

Glasgow Central Mosque will be opening doors on the 17th & 18th September 10am - 4pm.

Step inside and see Glasgow's first purpose-built mosque- Islamic architecture, marvelous red sandstone, an arabesque courtyard, walled garden and dome which fills the main prayer hall with natural light.

Last year we had over 1000 visitors over the weekend, so do not miss this fantastic opportunity.

We are pleased to confirm the moonsighting committee of Glasgow has decided the first day of Zul Hajj will be on Saturday 3rd of September.

Eid ul Adha will In'sha'Allah be on Monday the 12th of September.

Fajr Jamaat at GCM will be at 6.15am. The Eid prayer times are:

- 7am (preceded by a talk in Urdu)

- 8.45am & 10.30am (each preceded by a talk in English)

May Allah swt shower his mercy on this blessed day of Eid and may it be a new beginning of greater prosperity, success and happiness. And may the Noor of Allah swt enlighten our hearts.
