Glasgow Central Mosque and many other buildings around the city opened their doors in celebration of Glasgow’s architecture, culture and heritage.

Visitors at Central Mosque enjoyed guided tours, exhibitions, presentations, calligraphy and a Qur’an listening experience. 

We thank all our visitors for attending and look forward to welcoming you back anytime.

#Emergency Fundraising Dinner for Rohingya#

FRIDAY 15th SEPT, 6pm @ GLASGOW CENTRAL MOSQUE

The Ark, Glasgow Central Mosque, local groups and many other mosques in and around Glasgow have come together and arranged a Fundraising Dinner in support of Rohingya, The Worlds Most Presecuted Minority.

Glasgow Central Mosque will be opening it's doors on the 16th & 17th September from 11am to 5pm.

Step inside and see Scotland's first purpose-built mosque featuring Islamic architecture, marvelous red sandstone, an arabesque courtyard, walled garden, iconic minaret and dome which fills the main prayer hall with natural light. Come and enjoy our exhibition and presentations.

Glasgow Central Mosque presents an Eid Dinner for those that are vulnerable, asylum seekers and refugees.

This will take place on Sunday the 3rd of September @ 3pm in the main community hall of Glasgow Central Mosque.

A special request to those in the voluntary sector to pass on details of this dinner to those in need.

We are pleased to confirm the moonsighting committee of Glasgow has decided that Eid ul Adha will be on Friday the 1st of September 2017, In'sha'Allah.

Fajr Jamaat at GCM will be at 6am.

The Eid prayer times are as follows:

- 6.45am (preceded by a talk in Urdu)

- 8.30am & 10.15am (each preceded by a talk in English and Urdu)

May Allah swt shower his mercy on this blessed day of Eid and may it be a new beginning of greater prosperity, success and happiness. And may the Noor of Allah swt enlighten our hearts.

Friday 18th August 6pm @ Glasgow Central Mosque

We are delighted to host this year’s Pakistan Independence Day anniversary celebration dinner.  The event aims to bring together communities and people of all backgrounds, giving them an engaging insight into the life of local Muslims, relations with Pakistan and to promote a greater understanding of Glasgow Central Mosque, Scotland’s largest and first purpose built Mosque. 

We are also pleased to confirm the First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon, will be attending.
