Many people question wether they are afflicted by jinn or black majic, but how many of us really know how to protect ourselves? Many of us run to people that give us taweez and tell us to tie it around our necks and to burn some paper and take in the smoke, what about the evil eye? How can one not do research into how the blessed Prophet peace be upon him used to allow treatment of these things! Makes one wonder how well we really protect our Deen and how much Yaqeen we have in the beautiful words of Allah Almighty and exactly how weak our emaan is as to revive the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet peace be upon him. Muslims must keep away from soothsayers, so-called `peers', diviners, astrologers and fortune-tellers and others who claim to have knowledge of the unseen or future, regardless of how they claim to have acquired such knowledge. Likewise one must avoid amulets (ta'weez) and charms in thier pursuit of seeking cure, as all of this oppeses clear texts of the Quraan and Sunnah. Allahs Messenger peace be upon him, stated "Whosoever approaches a soothsayer and asks him concerning anything, then his prayer will not be accepted for forty days". (Sahih Muslim). He also said, "whoever approaches a soothsayer and belives what he says, has indeed disbelived in whatever was revealed to Muhammad". (Reported in the Four Sunan and by Ahmad. Hanbal in his Musnad). One is allowed to get Ruqyah done as long as it does not contain any shirk or anything that is Haraam or not permissable. A quote from Sahih Muslim chapter 22. no5732 It was narrated that `Awf bin Malik Al-Ashja'i said: " We used to recite Ruqyah during the Jahiliyyah, and we said: O Messenger of Allah, what do you think about that? He said: `Presnt your Ruqyah to me. Threr is nothing wrong with a Ruqyah that does not contain Shirk."
So my dear brothers and sisters in Islam please be very careful before you go to someone that say they can help you, ask you your name and your mothers name as they maybe doing the astrology type of finding out what your problem is or more seriously they may have have a jinn that is a non beliver carrying out tasks and demanding sacrifices which is totally haram, This type of healing or seeking a divine remedy, must never invovle incantations or spells that entail polytheism or any aspect of worship or supplication directed to other than Allah, as this is absolutely FORBIDDEN. Do Salatul Istikhara and get guided by Allah Almighty As He Is The Best Of Guides.
Allah, the Most Merciful, has given us divine cures that benifit the belivers as He the Most High has said, "And whoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way out for him from every difficulty. And He will provide for him from sources he could never imagine. And whoever puts his trust in Allah, then He is sufficent for him. Indeed Allah will accomplish his purpose." (Surah At-Talaaq 65:2-3)
